Black out

I got the idea of blacking out the jeep and just started going from there. I started with plasti dipping that ugly checkered grey interior. Plasti dipping on the interior turned out great and has held up very well.

I then went to tint my tail lights. I used a great walkthrough as seen here..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSKA...NwkyEjQEcOMx8f and they turned out great. only downside is that I cant see a damn thing when I back up at night.

I also plasti dipped all the emblems as well. I plan on removing them emblems in the future though.

Finished up the grill mod. Ended up scratching the hell out of the paint on the grill. But I guess it will just blend in with all the other scratches

Interior

I got LED glow interior mood lights as a gift. They are multi-color and can flash according to the music. love them.

I also got a new blue-tooth radio and I started to notice my stereo was starting to lose it a little. So before I blew them I decided to buy some subs. I got a really good hook up. I got 2 12' Kicker Comp VR subs in a great box with a 500W amp for $300. If i bought that straight out of retail it would've been around $1000! I love the subs.

I decided I wanted to have a little fun one day and did some offroading. My suspension was so bad and I picked a horrible tore up spot to go to. I was bouncing like crazy and hit the ground hard a couple of times. I went home and was pissed when I saw that I bent the radiator frame and bumper as seen below. I had to order a new bumper paint matched for around 250. I wasn't able to put it on right away... I still had to fix the radiator frame. Luckily my brother strapped his winch to the frame and it slowly bent right back into place and everything looked good as new.

I ordered a brand new CAI thinking it would drastically change everything. I was dumb. It really didn't do much. It sounds a lot deeper/meaner for the 3.7L. Has a little better throttle response. But overall no big change in HP or MPG from what I can tell. I am planning on building around it in the future to get my money out of it by getting a new performance exhaust. The CAI should really help the exhaust sound great.

Next I ordered my ROLA roof rack and lights. I just had one lightbar ordered but I went ahead and ordered all the switches for the lights I would put on the future. I have a 22' light bar up top right now and I love it. I love the look of the switches too.

I then ordered my lift kit. First I ordered the OME HD lift kit. But I was dumb and should've just ordered the coils since I wasn't going to use the OME struts and shocks. I am planning on putting 33's on so to just be sure I have a nice enough clearance and ride comfort I ordered the Bilstein 5100 series struts and shocks. I will put the Bilsteins on with the HD coils. I have not installed any of these yet. Once I do, I will have a set of OME struts and shocks just lying around. So if you're interested just pm me and I will hook you up with a great deal.

Installed my 4X guard matrix brush guard. Love how it looks now and I think it is going to look even better once everything else is installed.

Wheel and Tires!

I ordered some 285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs. Heard great reviews about this tire and I like the tread pattern as well. I also ordered some Method Mesh Race Wheels that I think are going to look great mixed with the duratracs and it should give me a good enough offset so I'll be able to clear the "bolt" and not have to get spacers. I ordered the whole thing from Mr. Wheel Deal. They're going to balance the whole kit and ship it out to me. The duratracs are currently on backorder so it is a waiting game right now. But I cannot wait. I think that wheels and tires are going to bring the whole jeep together for a great finished product!

I think a jeep will never be a 'finished' product

There are the wolves, there are the sheep, but then, there are the Sheepdog's

Just to let you know the OME Struts and Shocks have a Longer Down travel than the Bilstiens and also have a beefier Piston. That is why I went OME. I will be Putting on 33"s next week once The Rims come in.
