Bilstein looking for WK

Was just checking out the Bilstein site today and say this on the homepage. http://www.bilsteinus.com/news-event...ee-shocks.html

Says they're looking for a WK or XK Jeep for development. Somebody on here should check it out and let us know what's they're working on.

Judging from the other blog posts I think it's 8/1/2012. Not sure though.

Kind of ironic I've been looking at their 7100 series for the rear of my XK recently (last week) and thought it would be sweet if they had an equivalent coilover up front..... since they already have the strut (coil body) specs for the front of our vehicles I wonder if they're going to work on an adjustable coilovers this time; or adapters to use their current lineup...

What kind of shock are you looking for from them?

Well considering they already make the 4600 series for the fronts, a 5100 or 7100 would be nice. Ideally I'd like to see a 9100 series adjustable coilover option, but that's me dreaming

No that's too short for me and I'm not sure what they're valved to. A better shock, for offroad IMO, is the 5165, pn 25-187717 (255/70 valving).

And regardless, there's a 7100 series that ill probably get next spring.

Edit: also note that I'm referring to wanting more options for the front. There are plenty of options for the rear.... 5100s, 5150s, 5165s and 7100s; but only 4600s that will work up front which doesn't help much.

Hopefully they're doing a 5165 front and back since there isn't really an option out there to just buy reservoir shocks for the front on our Jeeps.

Since you are in CA ... I would call and ask. They do make shocks for lifted vehicles.
