Big Red's Build Thread

This is my build thread. I hope you enjoy it.
I am an 18 year old Eagle Scout from Oregon. I have a small disposable income each month to get the nice things for my Jeep, a 2005 WK Limited Hemi.
Here are the obligatory stock pictures:

Last night I was getting firewood for my Troop and snapped this picture of the trailer I was towing.

First mod I did was to add the iSimple interface to my RAQ radio (sorry it's blurry, I ran the iPod cable down out of the little cubby so that it's accessible):

Some mods I did today was Plasti-Dipping the emblems and put truck bed paint on the rear step:

I also got the shocks for my OME HD from Kolak today:

I should be getting the rest of the lift this week and I'll have to decide if I'm going to install it myself or have a shop do it. I also have my Superchip programer coming in soon from Kolak (he had it on special!).

Next on my purchase list is some A/T tires and Borla Cat-Back exhaust.

I'd go with the Gibson, I've never heard anything nicer, makes that HEMI really come to life! BTW your jeep is sick! Nice clean job with blacking out those badges man keep it up.

Oh thanks man I appreciate that! You've got an awesome platform to work with, and I think that the color of yours is the best they came out with

I bet that looks good on yours! I've read up more on the Gibson and decided to get it next month, depending on how much new tires take out of my wallet.

Did some work today, mostly to play with my new floor jack and air impact gun .
Tried plasti-dip on my brake calipers since they were faded:

Used the remainder of the bed spray on the towing system, had to use wire brushes to get the flakey paint off first.

I am still waiting for the OME HD springs before I can start my lift install

Looks good but high temp paint may have been better for the brakes. They can get hot!

I've thought about that, I only did one brake caliper to see how it goes over a week of driving. If it doesn't work out, then I can easily remove the plasti-dip and do your suggestion

I love them too! A lot of them give you inspirations for your own Jeep, and they also give you an idea of what your Jeep would look like.
