Dura-Trac FTW.

The owner asked what the best A/T tires ... are and if you read between the lines he/she is likely asking what are the best a/t tire they can afford that fits thier Jeep and Lift for what their is going to use it for.
Different A/T tires handle different in different applications, so one A/T tire is better in one condition than another.
The terrain and budget and what he is going to use it for determine the criteria and are not irrelevant. The better A/T tires you will find on the SCORE or MDR race trucks. And the tires get switch out based on the terrain and weather. They are A/T's.
Dura-Trac are beyond junk compared against Baja's or several other makes, (again depending on budget and application).

Did Rob's post piss you off that much that you had to take a second whack at it? Your comparing $600 tires to $220 tires. Dura-Tracs are recommended by tons of people on the forum and are an excellent tire. Then there is the part about reading between the lines and what he is using them for. He put a budget boost on so I don't think he is looking to drop over 2 grand on tires and I doubt he is going to be racing it.

I'm wondering where you found Spidertrax 1.25" spacers for a WK.
As far as tires - and I know there will be doubters - but the Goodyear Wrangler Authorities I bought have served me very well. They are more aggresive than a typical A/T but somewhat less aggresive than a typical M/T.
The sidewalls could be stronger but in a load range C in 265/70 the price is well worth the look. Yes, they are a Wallyworld exclusive and no, that did not deter me.
My build thread has tons of pics of what they look like and what I do, as far as trails, with them.

They don't have 1.25 listed for WKs. Are you sure they are not 1.5? If they are 1.25 and not made for the wk make sure they fit correctly you don't want one to fail on you.

Relax chief. My post was all in fun. The fact is that there is not just 1 good A/T tire. The OP's question was too general to give much advice. Thus, everyone ends up spitting out there favorite tire. I might suggest you not take the internet forums so seriously next time.
Oh, and the emoticons to the right, & mean laughter. geesh

if the OP is asking such a generic question, then im pretty sure he isn't trying to take his WK, which is probably a DAILY DRIVER as most WK's are, to the track or spend $2000 on all terrains.

I just purchased a new set of tires for my wife's WK...I quickly found a set that I really liked. BF Goodrich Rugged Terrain TA, they are very aggressive for and AT with siping in all the right places for a good on road and wet pavement ride while still doing the job in the dirt and snow out where we live. At $149 each for a 245/65/r17 they were very affordable as well.
