Badlands ORP April 2014

Trying to plan a trip in April to the badlands. Right now looking at the weekend of the 12/13th. Date could be switched in the next couple of days if interest is shown for another weekend. Anyone want to go?

Sweet, let me know if you can make it. What kind of recovery point are you waiting for, Do you have tow package? Front tow hooks?

I have front d-rings. No two package. I'm waiting on the 4xguard rear sliders and I'll throw some d-rings on those too.

What are you running on your xk?

I'm running the OME HD with RC 2" spacer in the rear and RRO leveling spacer up front on 275/70 maxxis bighorns. As long as you've got the front tow point you should probably be ok even if you don't get the rear on in time. I've been there half a dozen times with the 2" rough country and stock size cooper atr's and never actually had to get pulled out of anything.

Sounds good. I'll have the belly skid in before that and front tow points so sounds like I'm good to go. Can you push it to the weekend of the 19th? The 12th is the weekend of my dad and uncles birthday.

Well i definitely want to go. April just may not be the month to go. The 2nd weekend in May works for me if it does you.

I wish there were more people that could go from our general area

Some people from work and a couple from the commander forum are up for going on the 12th, so I'll be going then but I'm up for another trip later if you can't make it. Might get a little better turn out too. I'll keep my eye out for the schedule at work and keep you posted. Might be fun to go to the cliffs also, looks like it would be real close for you.

If you would let a WJ join and I can get it squared away. I might be interested. The WK is still in stock trim for now...

I don't really care who goes, haha. Just want to get a group out to wheel. If we don't have plans for my dad or uncles birthday that weekend, I'll go.

I'd be down for the cliffs too, but I've heard some not so great things about it. I really want to get to the badlands

I've also heard some not so great things about the cliffs. Just thinking it may be worth a day trip to check out even if it ends up being just doing the perimeter trail a few times, it is a lot closer than the badlands. A WJ is definitely welcome, depending on turn out there are probably going to be some non jeeps in the group also.

So what is the "cliffs"?

The WJ may or may not make depending on how fast the owner orders parts and fixes it
