Just received the tcase actuator slipping into neutral Safety Recall in the mail the other day.

If they don't have a fix for it - why bother releasing the recall notice?

I think they want people to be aware of the issue so they use the emergency brake. I guess the same goes for remote starting.
If the emergency brake is on then there should be no problem.
If something does happens they can say, they warned us!

Will the super chips tuner interfere with this fix at all?

According to Jeep UK this recall wont be applied to vehicles outside of the USA. I guess our Jeeps are magically much safer then......

Stopped in to dealer today for other dealer-only WK parts.

I have not received 2nd letter and the dealer's Service Manager does not have the fix from MOPAR yet FWIW. He told me it depends on how agressive the Attorneys-General are in their enforcement of recalls. Now if only the monthly car paymernt checks were cashed this slowly......................

I received the 2nd letter about a week ago. ... This doesn't mean the flash is avaible though, I'll give them a call and see if it's out yet?

As for the over seas folks, from what I was told.. you can down load it and install it. They just are not (or rather don't have to) pay for the install.

Fixed my airbag light issue last weekend. I bought a new-to-me Airbag Control Module (ACM) from a 2004 WJ from fleaBay for $39 shipped. I installed it, and I no longer have any airbag lights returning.

I would like to execute the January WJ airbag recall anyway if they could hurry up and get the parts. We are seven months and still waiting. I would also like to execute the transfer case recall on the XK, but I have yet to receive the second letter.

Sweet, thanks for the info! I will be making a call today. Since I'm out of town with my Jeep, I wouldn't gotten the letter or time for the update.

Did they say what was done? Was it just a flash or more? Some sources say there's possible cracks that might need to be address.
