If it's the 3.7 then they are not under recall only the QDII and QTII

as I recall, it was only 4x4 models, and I thought it was only 4x4 with remote starter, but I'm not positive.

Almost all of them are labeled as 4x4 whether its awd or 4-lo

Mine isn't remote start either but tells me the same exact thing and that it's incomplete. I had to get my transfer case replaced about 3 months ago so I guess It would be pointless to take in since I have a newer transfer case

This is a software issue, but they dont have a fix yet. Mine not remote start but is included in recall as per the stealership.

Summary:
Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2005-2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles manufactured February 11, 2004, through March 9, 2010; and 2006-2010 Jeep Commander vehicles manufactured January 31, 2005, through March 10, 2010. A transfer case electrical failure may result in an unintentional shifting of the transfer case into the neutral position.
Consequences:
If the vehicle shifts into neutral, it may roll away increasing the risk of a crash or personal injury.
Remedy:
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will reflash the final drive controller which governs the transfer case, with new software, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in June 2013. Owners may contact Chrysler at 1-800-247-9753. Chrysler's recall campaign number is N23.

295345

TRANSFER CASE ACTUATOR
Dear: (Name)
This interim notification letter is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.
Chrysler has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in some 2005 - 2010 model year (WK) Jeep Grand Cherokee and (XK) Jeep Commander vehicles equipped with a Quadra-Drive II or Quadra-Trac II four wheel drive system.
The problem is...
The transfer case actuator on your vehicle (VIN: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) may experience a transfer case actuator encoder electrical failure that results in unintentional transfer case shifting into or through the neutral position. This condition could allow the vehicle to move inadvertently while the vehicle is parked and cause a crash without warning.
What Chrysler is doing….
Chrysler intends to repair your vehicle free of charge (parts and labor). The software required to provide a permanent remedy for this condition is currently not available. Chrysler is making all reasonable efforts to obtain the software as quickly as possible. Chrysler will contact you again by mail, with a follow-up recall notice, when the remedy parts are available.
What you must do to ensure your safety...
Once you receive your follow-up recall notice in the mail, simply contact your Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealer right away to schedule a service appointment. .
In the meantime, you can eliminate the risk of unintended vehicle movement by apply the park brake after parking the vehicle.

If you have questions or concerns which your dealer is unable to resolve, please contact the Chrysler Group Recall Assistance Center at 1-800-853-1403.

Letter Received

I live down under in the great land of OZ. Received my letter from Chrysler / Fiat last week.
I rang the number at the bottom of the letter and they informed me that I will be receiving a second letter shortly.

FYI .... The dealers do not have the "FIX" for it yet. I dropped by a dealer today and they are still waiting for the FIX to be made available.
