Anybody else catch this Recall?

http://autos.aol.com/cars-Jeep-Grand...-2006/recalls/

The first recall on the page is new (to me). Just released this May (2013).

Announced Monday May 13. From leftlanenews.com :

"The recall affects 2006-10 Jeep Commanders and 2005-10 Jeep Grand Cherokees, including 295,000 SUVs in the U.S.

To address the problem, dealers will reflash the final drive controller that governs the transfer case. The recall is expected to begin in June."

I saw that a few weeks ago. Will chrysler still be able to contact me if I bought it used from a private dealer?

Chrysler should have your address if you have taken the Jeep to a dealership for any service or maintenance. If not, just make an appointment once the recall has started.

Does jeep have a site to type in your vin and see if any/what recalls were done/available for your vehicle?

I don't think so. You have to call them with the last 8 of your VIN and they can let you know
