Alignment trouble, JBA UCA and OME HD

just got some new tires on (255/75r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers), and replaced the Tie-Rod Ends myself.

immediately took it in to get an alignment, before they closed on Christmas Eve. they worked on it for 2 hours, and said they got it as close as they could. they said that the lift didn't have enough adjustment to get it any better, which I can understand not having any upper adjustments.

I'm just frustrated because that was the point of buying the Upper Control Arms from JBA, for a "factory front end alignment...on jeeps with a lift" as his website claims.

fortunately they got the toe in check. however the right camber is -1.5*. while the left camber is 0.0.

here is the info:

Camber:
R 0.0, L -1.5
Caster:
R 3.3, L 3.0
Toe:
R 0.07, L 0.06

Total Toe: 0.13
Steer Ahead: .01

what are your thoughts? is this the shops fault, or the jeeps setup?
I have had it aligned once before with the same setup, but my wife took it in, and I honestly didn't look at the printout.

Maybe they will have the previous alignment on file, and can reference it?

its a different shop than last time. I am in the process of going thru some files to see if I can find the other printout, I feel like I got ripped off.

Did they adjust from just the UCAs or did they move the LCAs as well?

so nobody else with JBA UCA has any issues getting their jeep aligned?

since they said there wasn't enough adjustment because of the lift, i assumed that the LCA didn't have enough adjustment..due to the uppers position. i guess the shop isn't competent, i asked him why there was enough adjustment to get the one side aligned but not the other..he didn't know.

You either got something bent(what are the SAI angles?) or the cradle got shifted to one side a little.

Adding JBA's UCA's just helps get a better alignment and they(and no one else for that matter) can account for any vehicle damage. The smallest hits can shift/bent things real easy.

hmm i might have to check into SAI angle, i didn't know that existed. everything looks normal to the eyes, but i'll try to measure both sides. never checked that before though

You need a alignment rack to measure the SAI angle.

Honestly there is quite a lot of range in the LCA for alignment, ive beaten my suspension over so much and can still get it aligned and drive straight.

Need to find a good reliable shop, thats the main battle.

i've rock crawled mine quite a bit, but never really felt like i was beating it up too bad. I've seen most of your videos Val, if your jeep still aligns straight, mine should too haha. i think it was the shop, its only about a month old and i have never been there before. it was christmas eve also, they were probably being lazy. waste of $70.

Firestone seems to be the only name brand shop that knows how to do it without telling them.

That said, I use NTB since I have a five year alignment package there.

EDIT: I'm sitting at NTB now getting a rotate and balance
