Advise a good 60k Tuneup on a 5.7l

Hey guys, my friend just rolled up on the 60k mile mark and he wants to do the proper tune-up/service procedure. Its an '05 WK Limited, every option available, and the 5.7 Hemi. In addition to getting the FL Axle boot replaced (it has a tear in it), we're forming a list of things to do.

He bought it used at 54k. Assume the worst and assume that the only regular maintenance its had is oil change, tire rotation, etc.

Oil is fine until 63k and theres aftermarket cold air intake so doesnt need replacement air filter. I think the engine runs great, but we figure might as well keep it well maintained for maximum performance, efficiency, life, etc

So what would you advise for a proper tune-up?

We tried doing the TB ourselves but ran into the issue that the butterfly valve is electrically controlled, therefore, you can't really get it open and spray/scrub the sides well

I think the tranny fluid flush would be a good thing...

I'm coming up on this same service time frame, I would love to hear back from you on any pointers or tips that may be helpful.

For the engine, new plugs. There's 16 of them so it can take a little while. Get the copper ones.

New air filter if you need one.

For the '05s check and maybe replace the Ignition Cables
Check and maybe replace the Serpentine Belt

Transfer case fluid change.
Differentials if you have Quadra-Drive.
Check the bushings and maybe transmission fluid and filter change. Not flushed.

PCV valve is also called for a swap at this mileage.

Good news and bad news...

bad news is I didn't get to do any of this myself, I was kinda lookin forward to working on it. Haha instead (which is also good news) he took the easy yet expensive route and sent it into Jeep for the 60k tuneup. Looks like its going to run him around $1100+ but hes got the money so I didn't protest. I will post up a list of all the stuff they did but so far I can confirm they did pcv valve, plugs, wires, transmission fluid change, coolant flush, diff fluid flush (he has QD) and he also got the axle boot repaired and the trim re-adhered (the foam underneath came off in the car wash so now they rattle with bass from the stereo)

Pricey but I think he did the right thing. Now he knows all has been taken care of and that will remove any worry about the maintenance from the previous owner. Should be good to go now.

60K service is around the corner (probably in November) for me.. I'll be doing the following:

- Oil and filter change (M1 5W20 + filter)
- Front and rear diff fluid change (M1 75W140 + Mopar limited slip additive)
- Transfer case fluid change (Mopar TC fluid)
- Transmission fluid and filter change (Valvoline Synthetic ATF+4)
- 16 spark plugs (Champion Copper)
- New PCV valve
- Inspect ignition cables and replace if necessary
- Inspect serpentine belt and replace if necessary
- Check all other fluids (coolant, brake, power steering)
- Check brake pads/rotors for even wear
