Advice on Transmission Fluid

2008 JGC Limited, QT II, 4.7L, 76,500 mi.

I will be changing my Transmission and Transfer Case fluids soon.
Is a Name Brand ATF-4 OK or do I HAVE to get the Chrysler fluid?
Do I really need to change the 2 filters or just let them go?

Is there a Name Brand fluid for the NV245 Fluid:
Mopart NV 247/245 Transfer Case Lubricant

The closest Dealer is ~30 miles away.
AZ, NAPA, Adv Auto is about ~2 mi.

Also, do I need to change out the Diff fluids also?
Seems like any Name Brand will be OK if it meets the:
Mopar
t Synthetic Gear & Axle Lubricant SAE 75W-140 (API-GL5)

Looks like the Maintenance Book requires this every 20,000 mi.

I just bought this Jeep and want to start out "fresh" with all of the maintenance items so I don't have a problem in the future.

I thank you all for your time to respond and your advice.
The best advice is from those who have 'been there'.
Regards,
Paul

Any ATF+4 on the list in the below link will work as all true ATF+4's use 1 of 2 base stocks so pretty much identical besides the label on the bottle.

The gear oil and atf+4 is pretty standard stuff. The nv245 fluid is some kind of magic unicorn juice and has to be purchased at the dealer. Make sure the bottle says nv245.

You only need 2 quarts if i remember right.

Thanks, 2 qts of 'juice' at the dealerfor the transfer case.
ATF-4 at NAPA and same for gear oil

Do you know how much ATF-4 I will need for the tranny?

Advise, please.
Thanks.

Ive read between 7-10 quarts for a drain/ refill on the trans. Get extra return what you dont use.

Did the two filters on an 03 dodge ram with hemi, same tranny I think (if not correct me). Doing two filters seems like due diligence if you plan on keeping it for awhile. Let us know how it goes.

Update

Transfer Case Fluid Change.

I ordered 2 qts of N245 transfer case oil from the dealer.

Just came in from the shop.

Removed the top plug to ensure it would come out OK.
Pan in place, removed the bottom plug and allowed the oil to drain.
Drained used oil from the pan into two empty oil qt bottles.
Seems like I got about 1 qt, 24 oz out, plus what was left as residue in the pan.

It didn't look dirty or dark.

Replaced bottom plug.
Using a ~6oz 'squirt' bottle, I was able to add all 2 qts of the new oil.

When I was done, there were a few drops of oil coming out of the upper hole, not running out.
I was wondering if this was what others have experienced.

If anyone has the fluid capacity for an oil change of the transfer case, please let me know.

I tightened the top plug.

Job Done....unless someone replies that the fluid required for a drain is more than 2 qts.

Thanks for your advice.
Paul
