Adding Second Hood Strut

Has anyone added a second hood strut to their WK?

The one hood strut on my 05 is really weak in the winter cold. I replaced it and it's still struggling. I was planning to add a second strut somehow.

Do you guys know if there's a kit available for adding a second strut?

Mine was weak and wouldn't hold the hood when I bought it, but I replaced it with a single "Strong Arm" support and now it lifts itself even in subzero temps.
