Hi Merlin

I assume that B2204 refers to the WCM and when asked about the abs etc was told that a lot of the electricals go through the WCM.

Vin. 5Y565748

Thanks
James

Nope WCM is key related (RKE remotes and immobiliser) and tire pressure monitoring.
Only technical request on your vehicle is from the supplying dealer when it was new.

Interesting....

There must be a problem with the WCM?? but why would they think that changing it would solve the abs/traction control/satnav problems if it is not related to them?

Thanks

List of codes found by dealer.

WCM B2204
ABS C1027
FDCM U0415
FCMCGW B166F
FCMCGW B166B
SUNR B210D
RADIO B142D
HSM B210D
TCM U140B

Can anyone translate or point me in the right direction?

Thanks

WCM B2204 = ECU CONFIGURATION MISMATCH (check correct PCM and WCM is fitted and configured correctly.
ABS C1027 =
-LEFT REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL ERRATIC PERFORMANCE
FDCM U0415 = IMPLAUSIBLE DATA RECEIVED FROM ABS (see abs code)
FCMCGW B166F = RIGHT TRAILER TOW LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW
FCMCGW B166B = LEFT TRAILER TOW LAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW (check tow bar)
SUNR B210D = BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW (check battery)
RADIO B142D = AUDIO ANTENNA NOT CONNECTED
HSM B210D = BATTERY VOLTAGE LOW
TCM U140B = IMPLAUSIBLE LEFT REAR WHEEL SPEED SIGNAL RECEIVED (see abs fault code again)
are these codes active or stored? I would just work on the ABS code.
Regards,
Merlin

Thanks Merlin for your input so far,

All these codes are stored except WCM B2204 which could not be reset and the dealer has changed the modules as discussed earlier so we shall see.....

Thanks
James

Hi
Well just to show my parts department is just like all the others no parts turned up today, coming tomorrow so they tell me. Anyway today I updated the software in WCM, PCM, FDCM and sunroof then restored vehicle configuration all fault codes now cleared. ABS sensor going on tomorrow then I can road test and hopefully no codes return. Will update tomorrow.

Fitted ABS sensor today all now fixed, however B2204 has come back so looks like this one will also need a WCM and ELV but I have told the customer not to worry about it as it's not affecting anything and replacing will cost over 300. I have fixed the what it came in for that being ABS light on, Service 4wd coming up in the display and noise from from vehicle when pulling away (traction control activation due to lost of wheel speed input) so he is happy.
How you getting on with yours? they told you replacing the WCM was going to fix your seat too, has it?

They have changed the parts that they were going to do and at present everything is great except for the seat - the easy exit/entry now works but not always, this is better than before when it never worked at all.. Lol. and as the dealer is about 2hrs away from me and even though they were very helpfull to me (word of mouth) I don't think I will be going back to soon to have the seat fixed.

Thanks

Hi Merlin and enyone else,

Update:

Warning lights are back and sometimes (although not often and not for a while now) I also get a noise from the rear as if the diff is locking up.

Dealer codes:

TCM U140B (seen before)
ABS C1043
ABS C102A
FDCM U0415

These were all reset and could not be replicated but after driving home (80miles or so) they are back on (they only seem to come on on long journeys)

They are guessing that a hub has gone (52111884AB) but suggest fitting a Sensor (56044146AB) first.

Help please.

Snoopy

C1043-LEFT REAR TONE WHEEL PERFORMANCE
C102A-LEFT REAR WHEEL SPEED COMPARATIVE PERFORMANCE
so still a fault with the left rear sensor same as before, is there any signs of a leak from the left rear? If the hub has gone you should see a leak?
The noise is the diff locking up same as my customer above had.
If no signs of a leak or noise I also would just do the sensor.

Hi Merlin,

Am I to understand that the diff locking up is something extra to the sensor that is being fitted and should also be looked at as well?

No leak mentioned, yet!

Why would the lights go out and everything works over short journeys but after traveling for 1-1.5hrs they will come on??

Many thanks for your help.

Snoopy

Hi
The diff lock up is because the final drive control module doesn't get a wheel speed signal from the ABS of that one wheel so it locks the diff up to (operating traction control) so is because of the sensor not another fault to be looked at. I suspect the sensor doesn't like to get hot.
