4x4 and 22in wheels?

So I have found (2) 22x9 and (2) 22x10 chrome wheels and BRAND NEW Nitto tires on CL for $1000.

I have the 2008 4x4 WK Laredo. Is it ok to put these on? No, I obviously won't be doing any offroading any time soon... but are these guys ok or will the 4x4 tear them apart?

I tried to attach an image, I hope it worked.

you'd want the same size tires while in 4wd it could break the transfer case if there is 2 different diameter wheels front and rear it throws off the gearing i believe i know thats why the awd grand cherokees have full size spares

Can you give the exact tire sizes so we can check to confirm they are the same diameter? That is critical

They should be the same diameter, but the width is not important. If they are both 22" and the same diameter, your axles will travel at the same speed...and you are GTG.

They even say that a well worn pair of tires on the front and new tires on the rear in some cases can cause damage if the tread depth is as deep as say an MT.

Nice looking tires, not really my cup of tea, but it will be a nice street look.

yea they front and rear have to be within a certain % to make everything work properly
cant remember what the % is tho

but as Greg said, diametre matters, not the width

also there is a guy on JG that put nitto grapplers on srt rims, looks good! lol

Doesn't the SRT have a different power distribution to the front and rear diffs?

I believe it's rear wheel biased but regardless, you still need the same diameter tires.

Only thing that matters is that the overall tire diameter is the same all around. 4/32 difference is the limit i believe.
Get em on there! lol

You have me worried now. I am not questioning the information I just need to confirm it.

You've got those numbers mixed up but either way, I would try and find a used tire in that size to keep it consistent. I wouldn't run thoses at the same time.

Thanks I fixed the numbers

255/55/17 will not fit in stock spare location,
that would suck to have to keep it in the rear....
