3.73 in a laredo crd?

im building a laredo-x on jeep.com, but it seems like you can get the 3.73's in the laredo with the 3.0 crd. when i do build with the limited or overland the 3.73 comes with the 3.0 crd. is the website messin up, or is the 3.73 and the crd only offered with the limited and overland?

The 3.73 gears come with the 4.7L and the HEMI if I remember right. And probably the CRD as well. I’d rather have the 3.07 behind the CRD anyhow…

And the website is always screwed up any how. Takes them months to update it to proper info and specs.

Definitely get the 3.07 gears if you can (and you don't plan on pulling a heavy trailer), the CRD has plenty of torque for the taller gear, and you will likely get better mileage...not that the WK CRD gets horrible mileage with the 3.73 gears.

The Laredo is the only trim level that gets 3.07 gears with the CRD. With 3.73 gears the engine is at 2700 RPM at 75 MPH. I think that's a bit high and you will probably see quite a bit better gas mileage with the higher (numerically lower) gears.

See I find that odd. The website is always off. I’m willing to bet you can probably get the 3.07s if you went to a dealer and had them build it. It can be done, just finding the right order codes to do so…

I don't think so. I had mine built and there was not any option or way to get 3.07's according to 3 dealers. Maybe they were all wrong, but I doubt it. I would have opted for 3.73's anyway since I tow a trailer quite a bit, but I asked all 3 of them about the 3.07's.

I just had a Diesel Laredo built and when you pick the diesel option it automatically gives you QuadraTracII and the 3.73 rear end.

The 3.07 on the laredo is only available with the gas V6.
