Like Jaje said, no real issue with timing chains or HPFP. Those should last several 100k miles. I have never head of anyone changing those out. I check out the Sprinter Forums the see about longevity issues, because those guys put on a lot more miles than we do and they are much heavier.

No timing chain interval that I know of (it's a chain) - but you have to do serpentine belt, water pump, fuel pump and some other odds and ends. It might make sense to do glow plugs as a 100k maintenance just because. Check out this CRD FAQ
