225/75/17s on 2005 WK?

I have a stock 2005 limited with the 5.7 and dont want to make any modifications. I need a tire that is heavily puncture resistant and am having a hard time finding tires that both fit and meet that requirement. Seems like the 225/75/17s, load range E might fit the bill. Anyone know if they will fit?

Thanks konarider - I'd be happy to stick with stock size, but I can't find any heavy duty tires in 245/65/17 or 235/65/17 (10-ply rated, load range E, etc). I'm ok with the skinny tire as it actually helps for sidewall punctures, which is the main issue where I am off-road. Light duty tires at best are flat by morning, or at worst get shredded in the field. Plus they are only 0.4" narrower than my current 235's.

I was looking at the GY Silent Armour LT225/75R17 specifies and approved rim width of 6"-7.5", so I think I'd be ok on the 17x7.5s

Any advice on heavy duty tires in the stock range would be helpful, or if anyone knows if the 225/75/17s will fit

Thanks!

they will fit. i run 245/75-17 and the 225/75-17's will be narrower and shorter than those. i have the goodyear silent armors and they are very good.

edit: the bridgestone dueler revo 2 has some LT tires coming out this year. some of the sizes include 245/75-17 and 245/70-17 load range E. They will be expensive though.

konarider I like the tires you are running I just didn't think they would fit. You've had no fit issues with yours, and you didn't have to make any modifications?

mine fit fine, i havent wheeled it yet so the suspension hasnt been really flexed but i have been driving on them for a while without any issues. i am still kind of considering a 2" lift but im doing fine without one

i didnt do anything other than the tires, no bolt cutting, no spacers, no pinch weld, no lift, and stock rims

Thanks, and thanks for the heads up on the Revos too - that could be a good option also
