2010 V6 Commander

Hey everyone, real quick question....

My boss is looking at a 2010 V6 Commander.

Its got 50k miles on it w/ a warranty...

I didn't ask about $ cause its really not my business. Anyone have any thoughts or opinions about this? Things to look for with an XK?

Thanks

Problem I'd have with it is the 6 cylinders. WK folks with 6 bangers often complain about it being under powered. XK is bigger than the WK.

50K on the ticker is a little high IMO - but not bad. Probably a good rig though being a 2010.

Yea, I agree with the V6, but shes more worried about reliability than power. i said to go for it if the price is right. %0k is a smidge high, I think, but like you said, not that bad.

Its not going to get out of its own way (Wife as a 08WK with the 3.7) but its been reliable no major maintenance will prob hit 110K in Christmas travels.

4 cylinder subaru outback has a better power to weight ratio.

I drove a number of the 4.7L powered and 5.7L powered WK's before I bought my LTD with the 5.7L. 4.7L was ok, not bad overall for drive-ability, and the gearing seemed ok. I cannot imagine that the 3.7L in an XK would be much fun... and would probably have to work really hard to get anywhere.

This could eat into your overall reliability as you might be flogging on the 3.7L whereas you could simply cruise around effortlessly in the 4.7-5.7L with relative ease and comfort? I hear the 3.7L are reasonably reliable if not pretty thirsty motors. I had the older 3.9L in my Dakota 2WD which was a 5 speed. It was OK, the 5 speed auto sucked however...gutless.
