Does anyone know when the 07 commanders come out? it should be soon. that is when i will buy a 2006

The 2007 Grand Cherokees are out, so the Commanders may be as well.

The 2007 went into production in July (it's a fiscal year thing). The 2006 XKs went into production last July w/ the first XKs being made available for review last August. I would think that the 2007 would follow this same pattern.

To add to the above reply:

I think July would have been the best time to make your purchase, reasons being:

- most all TSB issues would be known and resolved for the corrections going into 2007 production.

- most of the best deals in incentives and financing will be available to move inventory to make room for the newer models.

- you beat the rush and still have a big selection of 2006 models to choose from.

If you wait too long, the pressure will be off the dealership as the inventory will have been reduced and your selection will be limited.

I guess I should clarify, I purchase vehicles to keep until the wheels fall off so the first year depreciation has absolutley zero value to me but the actual dollar savings of the initial purchase does have great value.

If I were buying a vehicle w/ plans to trade in or resale in short order, then this is a different issue.
