2007 CRD - Interior Fan sometimes does not come on

Anyone else have this problem? First start up of theday it is fine... it is fine if it has been sitting for a few hours, but if I turn off the Jeep then come back out and start the Jeep back up, the Heat/AC fan does not come on (if I bang on the right side under the glove box sometimes it will kick in)

I would checck under the dash on the passenger side for the wire that connects to the blower. Sounds like it came loose.

There is 2 wiring system for this ... One for the hi-fan and one for 1,2,3 fan speed. In this case the current goes into a resiatance located behind the glove box. This could be the problem if only speed 1 to 3 is your problem. If 4 is also not working then it could be your HVAC fan relay which is located in the fuse box under the hood.

Check the hvac relay in fuse box under the hood. In the same compartiment there is 2 or 3 identical relay... You can then switch them arround to verify your relay ...
