2005 WK leaking fluid at Rear Axle front oil seal

I have a 2005 4.7 4X4 Rocky Mountain Addition WK with 63000 miles. Last weekend I was going to change the fluids in the front and rear diffs and noticed that a large amount of oil had been leaking out of the front oil seal around the pinion shaft of the rear diff. I was curious if this would be covered under the 7/70,000 powertrain warranty? If not has any one changed one on a WK and how difficult might it be to change? Thanks for any help.
