You can run the stock ones, but they won't last terribly long or give you all the travel length you'll need.

Yeah, they are one sale at 4x4groupbuy.com right now $75 a piece with free shipping. They are the OME N190 Rear Shocks.

2" Daystar Lift and larger tires question...
I just installed the daystar lift and went to order 265/70/17 (converts to about 31.6") tires for it today and the gentleman at the tire shop said I wouldn't be able to put larger tires on due to the upper ball nut
. I currently have 245/65/17 (converts to about 29") tires...here's a photo this is with the 2" lift and 29" tires... http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o133/meloniey_2006/tire.jpg was the gent. at the tire store correct? If he was does anyone have any suggestions on how to remedy this, because it just looks silly with little tires... |

2" daystar lift
I just installed the 2" daystar lift on my 05 wk and it rides just as good as it did stock. I still have the stock shocks on mine and it rides smooth.

Do you guys have any pics posted of your 2" lifted WKs? Also, what's the price for that kit, and did you install it yourselves?

Spend a couple hours clicking through the WK image thread. - it's worth it.
I'm a picture whore though, so I'll post two from last weekend: ![]() ![]() 2" Skyjacker installed by 4WheelParts. Install, alignment, wheel swap, control bolt trimmed back and 4 Mickey Thompson tires about $1,000. I think the lift alone was just under $200 from the shop. I paid $175 for my lift off of 4xguard.com. I'll post some pictures of mine tomorrow. It still rides like stock too! The polyurethane spacers definately make a big difference!

JK.
The TJs have a different bolt pattern. Only the '05 and '06 WKs can run them though. In '07 they changed to a different caliper that the wheels won't clear. IMHO the 2" should have been a factory option, it's cheap, it rides just about as well as a stocker and it dramatically makes a difference off-road. |
