Not sure, luck? The 08s don't work on my 06.

This is really weird and goes against everything I read but I believe my sensors are being read by the computer, it appears that I have correct indications of pressure and I am not getting the TPMS light. '10 JK wheels/sensors on a '07 WK.

Plug and Play?

So were you guys able to do this swap without help from the dealer. I had read that any new tpms wheel sensors had to be like "synced" somehow by the dealer?

Never heard of that one. As long as they are the right frequency you should be good.

I had a couple shops tell me that also, it's bs, after you drive a few miles the system will pick up the new sensors.

Sensor learning mode

Each sensor’s (transmitter) broadcast is uniquely coded so that the wireless control module (WCM) can monitor the state of each of the sensors on the four rotating road wheels. The WCM can automatically learn and store the sensor’s ID while driving “within 10 minutes continuously above 15 m.p.h. (24 Km/h)” after a sensor has been replaced, the vehicle must be stationary for more than 20 minutes in order to initiate the learning sequence.

Great! I had one wheel sensor go faulty (dead battery?) which was replaced on warranty but with my Jeep being an 08' I guess I can expect to have the other wheel sensors die within the next year or so. Now I know that it is not a dealer only repair I will just buy a new sensor and keep it on hand for replacement if I have a flat on any of the other wheels.

There is a member on here who sells sensors for a much better price than anywhere I've found. I'll b using him for my replacements when I buy tires at tax time. Can't remember his name I'll check my messages and c if I can find it.

Update: been running this set up for 6 months now and love it. The right front barely rubs in left turns but the left front rubs to the point I might get some 1/4" spacers.

They were off a 2010 JK and had about 15k miles and were at 98% when I put them on so they are still in great shape. We don't put a lot of miles on our vehicles. I actually used wheel paint, I had tried plasti-dip on wheels before and it doesn't hold up as well as it does on other parts of the vehicle. When I do replace my tires I'll try to get a size that brings them close to the originals.
