06 jeep gc ripped leather

New person on here 2nd jeep I have owned. My first was a basic 2wd compass. Wife and I decided to trade up to a 06 grand cherokee. So my problem is I want this used to car to be perfect and it had a little tear in the leather. Still wanted the jeep. But does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Thank you 😁

A company that repairs leather seats/vehicle upholstery shop? This is quite common on the 06's and probably other years as well infact my 06 Overland I have the same issue and need to get it repaired others have reported that it cost around $200 to fix.

My '07 has the same problem. Took mine to the jeep dealer for an unrelated issue and the service tech said it is a pretty common issue for our model and that the best/cheapest way is your standard auto upholstery shop ... said it's generally around $200 a seat. Didn't get specific if that was just for a panel, or the bucket, or backrest, or what ... but there's your ballpark figure.

Mine had a rip in the exact same spot before I traded it in.

Was told a good upholstry shop could fix it for around $50-75. They'll just patch the ripped section.

Here is my thread on this issue. 2 years and it looks as good as when it was repaired.
