I can fit a proper size shackle through my factory chain holes, at least the front shackle mount sized ones.

I think he was thinking the workable design of the carrier as far as the compromise goes.

Visibility is definitely on the "off-roading trip" category. Haha.

Next time I put it on ill tKe some further away shots. I just run around town with a 265/70/17 doughnut.

Started a new/quick project tonight. Went to Auto Zone and picked up Duplicolor's Shadow kit.

Applying the Black-Chrome look to my grille. As soon as I get more time and a calm day, I will apply the same thing to by Jeep Badge in front and on the tailgate.

Taped up and ready for coating.

Base coats finished. Now waiting for it to dry before the protective clear from the kit.

Reinstalled the black-chromed grill.

Also used Duplicolor Vinyl/Fabric gloss black to touch up the shifter and cup holder area, applied the Shadow to the shifter chrome bezel, and used the Vinyl paint on the area around the radio in prep for an aftermarket head unit. image-3041704275.jpg

Just got some goodies in the mail today!

LEDs for rock lights and trunk light Mods, Quick Fist clamps to mount an axe and shovel, and electrical goodies to make this:

This DBox should simplify my current Rigid Industries lighting and then make my future Rock Lights and any other electrical wiring a synch!

I also got 4xGuard Rock Rails in the mail today. Let the fun begin!

Where are you going to mount you DBox? Also, can you let me know where I can get her information to work on my Jeep with me?

Haha, for real!

Right now, I'm eyeing the passenger side of the engine compartment against/near the firewall.

For roof lights, would you try to run your grounds from the roof down the windshield with your powers to the DBox or are you going to try to ground up top?

Don't know. Not planning any roof lights as of now, but if I were to, I would imagine I would run the wire down to the engine compartment. I would probably see if others had a picture or eluded to where they grounded, i.e. some build like Omelets.

I saw that the other day too, I have ordered the stuff to make something similar but decided to make a few changes, hopefully it'll work out the way I think it will

For sure. I know my battery leads are already going to be way longer than theirs because where we have space and where the battery is. But I will stick pretty close to the original design because I am a monkey when it comes to electrical wiring.

Basically just going use a different type of box and fuse block, it'll be wired pretty much the same.

Got my 4xGuard Rock Sliders installed today.
Followed the directions Chirpz put up a while back to the "T". http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f67/4...-step-1304425/

Took me about 1.5 hours, I used the following tools:
1/4" drive - 5/16 socket
3/8" drive - 9/16 socket
3/4" drill bit
1/16" drill bit
9/16" box wrench
Torque wrench
Awl
Brakleen Brake cleaner (to clean the lower door sils)
Shop Towels

Only trouble I had was on the front passenger side pinch weld. I had smacked it on the trail last year and it needed to me massaged back into place with a small mallet.
