I just realized I don't have a good pic of my front LED strip, but after I removed and sold my 4xG skid I moved the strip to the wire harness that's just behind the lower radiator mount. I simply zip-tied it in place. Here's a pic of the where I'm talking about.

I think he switched to the Asfir (spelling?) skid.

Ok, I'll do a search. Wondering what the benefits/drawbacks are. Need to do armor soon after I get my current build items completed.

The 4xguard is works with the stock steel skid, the Asfir skid replaces the factory steel skid and 4xguard skid.....and its aluminum!

Did some camping this past weekend. We knew there would be some snow, but an ice storm started blowing in and that cut our trip short.

During Friday night, it snowed a bit:

And this is what we woke up to:

Did some trail riding Saturday:

And had a real "balls-in-throat" moment when the Jeep decided to slide 90 sideways and nearly off the edge into a deep ravine! My WK was in the middle of the trail, but I had to stop for some jeeps up ahead. When I let my foot off the brake, instead of forward it just went straight sideways! I consider myself lucky.

Just how close I came (the brown areas).

We got some brief cell service and saw that the ice storm was coming, that coupled with some impassible sections of trail because of ice under the snow - we called it and went back to the top of the mountain and retrieved our tents. Then high tailed it home, after stopping at Chik-fil-A of course.

Dude when we finally got it unstuck, I had my seat belt so tight! I even unloaded my 45 in case I rolled over - although I know very well it wouldn't randomly go off if the jeep rolled over - but it shows you where my head was.

Took on the challenge of where to mount my 24" LED light bar. I original wanted to put it under the bumper, but 2 broken drill bits later. . . I went a different route. Instead, I got some Yakima snap-arounds and mounted it to my roof rack. I was concerned at first because of how far back my rack sits since I do not have a roof basket. But I think it turned out just fine.
I soldered the light wires and my wires together for a more "professional" connection and afterwards, used a generous amount of heat-shrink to H2O proof the connection as best as possible.

I ran the wires to my engine compartment along the door weather-stripping, plugged everything into my DBOX and fired 'em up!

Now I need to take some night shots to show the difference.

I took some photos while going through my lights to demonstrate the different levels.

As usual, photos do little justice of what they are like in person. Bottom line - the ebay (China) 24" LED light bar was worth the $100 x5.
