Yet another "New Bee"

Hello everyone,

My name is Rachel, and as you can probably guess, I'm new here.

I live in the desolate wastelands of West Valley City, Utah (actually its not too bad because I do call it home). My toy is a 1977 CJ7 that I saved from the wrecking yard, it was literally in the back getting stripped. With no help from anyone, I completely rebuilt the engine and converted the front brakes to disk brakes with parts off an old Chevy truck. The transmission does needs some work because it won't stay in 2nd gear, but at least it runs quiet.

My Jeep was originally a blue-green color, then someone made it Earl Scheib Red, and now it's mainly rust. It had a black hard top that I started to paint bomb into a white color, mainly for the air conditioning effect. It is still factory stock otherwise, and runs like a champ! My Jeep, my wienie dog and I like to go explore back country roads when we have a few extra dollars for gas.

I'm not sure why I haven't joined any clubs or forums before now, but my doggie and I are looking forward to making new friends and actually having someone to share trail rides with.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcomes! Sometimes I feel like a piece of ancient Jeep history! But at least my old Jeep is still getting some love and attention.
