new from lexington ky...howdy

hey everyone, im new to the site and new to jeeps. ill be getting a 78 cj7 with a 401ci V8 in it from a 74 amc javelin. it needs some work and its going to be my project car over winter. my plans for it are a 6" suspension lift, 3" body lift, 35x12.5 on 15x10 black wheels. the body is black and i want to keep it black, it will be just a trail jeep, maybe a lil road but only to drive to the trail and home. i was wondering if it would be worth going with a shock and strut suspension lift if im only going to be using it for mud and some rock(not very big tho)? any suggestions and comments welcomed. hope to have a good stay here. c ya

Welcome. You'll like the 401. I had one in my old SJ Chrokee Chief. As far as the suspension goes, you'd probably have a much better response if you posted your questions in the CJ section, or the Lift/Shocks/Tires/Wheel section. I'd try the CJ section myself.

Again, welcome.
