A guy I work with was telling me about his buddy selling his early 90's wrangler. I asked how much and he said, pretty cheap as it's got some work that needs to be done on it. Shoot my brother a text and see if he wanted to check it out with me and turns out it's one of his rugby buddies.
Head on over there, checked out the jeep. Looks like a pretty solid rig aside from the broken driveshaft and destroyed transmission mount and a little surface rust on the frame.
1993 YJ Renegade "edition"
4.0L 5 speed w/ 175k miles
4" lift on 33" kelly something or other tires
1.5" transfer case drop
came with soft and hardtop
Agreed on $900 and went and drove it home the 4 miles in 4hi with no rear driveshaft. Went and picked up a driveshaft that was supposedly balanced with new ujoints. Also I ordered a stock replacement trans mount from rockauto for $15
I went ahead and installed the things and the driveshaft is binding pretty bad from the lift and now stiffer trans mount. Kinda bummed about it. Went ahead and ordered a Rugged Ridge SYE and looking for an xj driveshaft to shorten up.
Might pull off the renegade flares and bumpers as it'll be a woods, cabin dweller.
Anyways here are a couple pics!
