New to the forum, but not to Jeeps

Whats up everybody?
A little about me....
My name is Adam, I'm 24 yrs old. I got married in July '06.
Some background....
I'm on my 3rd Jeep now.
I caught that Jeep Thing that nobody understands way back when I was a Sophomore in high school. My first one was a red 93 YJ with a 4 cyl.
After that came a sweet Gunmetal Blue 99 TJ Sport that I practically stole. This got me through college. I ran the hell out of it, torturing it in every way a bored college kid could. I reluctantly sold it (for more than I paid for it) so that I could get something nice to carry people around Atlanta.

I managed to get my fix here and there, eventually getting a new 04 Double Cab Tacoma 4x4, which I still use as my daily driver.

Now, a few years later...I'm married, starting to settle down some, and I got the itch again. This time I scratched my itch with a 98 TJ Sport.

I guess it had really pissed off the Jeep Gods a while back, because it was at the hands of its 3rd consecutive high school girl driver. It had stock bumpers, faded flares, and you can see a few scars from backing into immovable objects...crushed milkjugs, etc. It had no real body damage though.
It had a 3" body lift and 31x10.50 street treads. The transmission is going, the cat rattles like crazy, and over all she is just kinda tired.
The CB that had been installed had gone into disrepair and there was melted lipstick in the cupholders.

Since I bought her back in early August, I've gotten rid of the old BL, wheels, tires, broken CB, carpet, and console....

I went back with a 4" Superlift, 1" daystar, black steel Procomp wheels, 33x10.50 BFG MT's, rhino lined tub and tuffy security console. My list hasn't even started to shrink either.

I still plan on losing the plastic OEM steps for a nice heavy set of sliders.
I'll get some heavy duty rock bumpers front and rear (with an integrated reciever hitch in the back).
I'll get a sport cage soon, and replace the stock seats with some Mastercraft Baja RS and a Mastercraft rear fixed bench.
And possibly my biggest mod......I'm thinking a 4bt would push a TJ around nicely.
Hmmmmmmm, ah hell, I can keep on going all day.

Sorry for the long post, nice to be here. I look forward to lending some knowledge where I can...and learning some too.

Welcome to the Forum. Good thing you rescued that TJ from ignominy.

Thanks, yeah she was a sad sight when I got her. I'll have to post before/after pictures....or at least a link to them, since I can't post pics on here yet.

A Cummins 4BT is a 4 cyl diesel engine that displaces 3.9L.
