First Jeep & New to the Forum...Hello from Texas

First of all I have to say thanks for this web site. What a wealth of knowledge. I have dreamed of owning a Jeep for many years (since high school). Now at he tender age of 35 I am a proud owner of a TJ. I found what I considered to be a good deal on a '99 wrangler, 6 cyl engine, 5 speed manual transmission. It has a lift although I,m still unsure of how much (I think 4-6") Maybe one of you guys can help me figure that out.

It is in good but not great condition. It has 133,000 miles on it but the engine runs like a top. There is absolutely no rust anywhere however a few scraps and scratchs on the paint. One dent just in front of the drivers door where "jeep" is pressed into the fender. I will attempt to add a couple pictures to this post. I would love to hear any feedback or comments, maybe things to look out for. Thanks and I look forward to becoming part of this community.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words about the Jeep. I don't know if the axles are modified in any way. I highly suspect they are just stock, based on the previous owners lack of knowledge. I plan to change all the fliuds this weekend. I am going to remove the diff covers to clean out and find out the gear ratio. I assume it will be fairly obvious if there is aftermarket parts in it? Anything else I should look for? Also, I would really like to find out about what lift is on it and how much? The shocks are skyjacker so I assume it is a skyjacker lift kit? Any help in identifying it and how high would be greatly appreciated.
