MK, Compass/Patriot section

Is any of this viable? We're trying to eliminate the potential for dual postings in Compass/Patriot Forums.

What do the Patriot and Compass share in common?

The same frame, suspension and drivetrain?

Actually just about everything except the sheet metal and glass on the body. You're buying the same thing, they only look different on the outside. Even the interiors are the same. The Service Manual on Cd is titled "Jeep 2007 MK PATRIOT AND COMPASS Service Manual". The "BODY REPAIR MANUALs" are separate Cd's.

So far the only real differences are the AutoSick for the Compass is not available on the Patriot and the FD II package for the Patriot is not available on the Compass...from the factory. Either can be adapted to the other with factory parts. Just like a real Jeep!

Patriot owners are now posting in both "New & Future Models" and under the "Patriot" sub-forum. At the very least the Patriot forum should be broken off from the "New & Future Models" even if not put under a new "MK Forum" per my suggestion and have it's own forum before it gets any worse. The threads in the "New & Future Models" also should be moved to the Patriot Forum for ease of reference.
