JeepSpace

Profiles are now back online with a new design and new functionalities.

In addition to the new URL to your Profile (http://jeepspace.jeepforum.com/YOUR_USERNAME) and design we have added the following new functions.

Installed Products

The Installed Product modules allows you to add to your Profile all the different products you have installed on your Jeep. Anything from a winch, lift kit, headers, wheels, etc.

To get started you need to click the "Add" link for the category of the product you are trying to add.

Example;

I want to add a YJ Rough Country Complete Lift Kit to my Profile.

So I start by click the "Add" link under Suspension.

Then in the Sub Category I choose: Complete Lift Kit
Then for Manufacturer I choose: Rough Country
Finally for Product I choose: YJ 4" Suspension lift

After that it will give you a set of input boxes like the following;

Simply fill in the boxes, click Submit and it will add the Product to your Profile.

If at any time you want to remove the product from your Profile click (-) next to the Product on your Profile and it will remove it. However, it will leave your Review in the Reviews database.

If you want to add a Product that is not listed then please add that Product to the Review Database using the following URL;

http://reviews.jeepforum.com/uploadproduct.php

Friends

The old Profiles had a Friends module but we scraped it and programmed a new one with much more functionality.

To add a Friend you simply go to their Profile and click "Add Buddy".

To remove a Friend you can either do it through your 'Edit Friends' link or by going to the person's Profile and clicking "Remove Buddy".

You can choose which friends you want to show up as your Top 9 by going to the following URL (You can find this link as "Edit Top Friends" in your Friend's module on your Profile)

http://jeepspace.jeepforum.com/friends.php?mode=edittopfriends

Also under Friends you will see three links; All Friends, Mutual Friends, & Fan Club.

All Friends - Shows you all the Friends you have added regardless if they have added your back.
Mutual Friends - Shows all the Friends you have added that have added you back.
Fan Club - Shows all the Friends who have added you but you have not added them back.

Comments

The Comments module allows you to leave a quick Comment on someone's Profile. To do this you simply go to the person's Profile you want to leave a Comment for and click the link titled "Leave a Comment."

Please refrain from using censored words here as it will get you banned if you do. The same forum rules apply.

If you want to Delete a Comment on your Profile then click "Delete" on the Comment you want to delete or click "Reply" if you want to leave a Comment on the Profile of the member who left one on yours.

Videos

The Videos module allows you to display YouTube videos on your Profile. We might expand this to more video providers but YouTube is the only partner right now we have for this module.

To add a Video go to your Profile and click the "Add Video" link in your Videos module.

You will get a screen that looks like this;

You will need to fill out the following prompts plus the security code to upload your Video.

Reason You Like The Video - List why you are uploading this video.
Title - The title of the Video
Description - A brief description of the Video.
YouTube Video URL - The full URL to the video (Example; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2LUz2WVcek)

To delete a Video go to the Videos module on your Profile and click the "Delete" link on the Video you want to delete.

Do not post vulgar videos or you will be banned. This is a family friendly community so please keep that in mind when adding Videos to your Profile!

Blogs

Blogs is also a new feature at JeepForum and your last three blogs will appear on your Profile. You can visit the Blogs software at the following URL;

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/blogs/

To post a new Blog use the following URL;

http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/blog_post.php?do=newblog

I think this is the right place to leave feedback on JeepSpace.
Everytime I try to add a product to my Jeep's accessory description, I fill everything out then hit submit and get this message "Error Querying DatabaseIII."

I tried to add a review and got this "Unable to move file [/tmp/phpqgA4oK] [/home/vhosts/jeepforum.com/subdomains/reviews/httpdocs/data/27/eLiftKit.jpg] "
Since I've never add a review before, maybe it's me???

Never mind...it was me!

Keith, when I try to add a 2" body lift to my Jeepspace profile, it says user not found. I tried last night and again tonight w/ the same result.

Also, I really like the way the Jeepspace stuff looks. The logo is cool and I like the colors. Great job on the forum. This is such a great resource for Jeep enthusiasts. Thanks.

There is no need to. It's all dynamic. Only the categories that you have items listed under will show to other users viewing your Profile.

No problem. Please help pass the word out about JeepSpace in anyway you can. It opens a whole new door to Jeepers who don't want to use the forum but want to meet and interact with other Jeepers.

Lovin' the Jeepspace profiles Keith . I'll help spread the word.

In the recent PM regarding jeepspace you mentioned that gallery space will be available -- but it still doesn't look like I can upload pics yet. Is that a feature that will become available shortly, or am I missing something .
