Jeep Registry

I worked on some software for another site that allows Cycle owners to add their bike along with details bike oriented.

It creates more of a Registry type page then just a basic thread but it still uses vBulletin so it's in Search, your Posts, etc.

http://www.twospoke.com/forum/f133/

Take a look and let me know what you think about putting it on JF.

I like it. A simple way to post some pics and specs.

When you type in the Model (ZJ for me) under Jeep Information http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f273/lowis-905796/ it says it under Manufacturer on the main page. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f273/

Can you make these details separate?

Keith, at least for me, it kept truncating info I typed into the basic Jeep information page, like in the future mods field, and changing a few things. Like it kept "unchecking" where I checked I am allowing comments to be posted. Otherwise, that's a nice feature you have added.

I've added a picture; but it isn't showing as an icon? Jeep named as "No Name Jeep."

You didn't attach an image. Like the directions say:

Make sure you upload at least one photograph using the Manage Attachments. This way a thumbnail on the index is made.

You can go back and edit your thread to include an attachment image. Then it will show up on the index.

Yes, though not every time. I would re-input the missing characters and then click on Submit Reply and find that it had trucated a few characters off something else it hadn't truncated before. Eventually I got everything in where nothing was missing but it was hit and miss. And once it didn't post my pic that had been uploaded, I had to resubmit the same photo. Guaranteed it was uploaded successfully the first time, it listed it as uploaded.

I can't attach an image from my comp because all of my pics exceed the max file size...JPG 2.57MB, max size 247.7KB. It worked when I used a URL though. Pretty cool.

I'd like to see the "Add New Jeep" link look more like a link.

How about adding LOCATION?

What exactly is the point of the registry? Will it be replacing our profile? (I like the profile layout, MUCH better, btw) Will we be able to search through it? Or maybe browse through other TJ's for example? Or even better, browse through TJ's in our area? Just wondering

I shouldn't have to leave a message to post my Jeep... it's a registry, not a thread.
