How to start a poll?

I went to the link to start a new thread and found at the bottom an area that has a check box to 'post a poll' so I checked it. 4 is the default no. of questions but says it can go up to 30.

I checked the box 'yes' and nothing happened.

How do I initiate a poll?

Thanks,

Oh, I tried to attach a copy of what is at the bottom but I couldn't find a way to do that either . My png file of the area for starting a poll was 879x 179 and the limit is 800x800 with me not knowing how to change the size.
