ZJ vs WJ

I often fantasize about all the Jeeps and other rigs I'll have in my collection in the future (once I make my millions of course), like a chopped XJ turned into a truggy, or an MJ on 'tons and 37"s.

Anyway, one of my fantasy jeeps is a Grand Cherokee, moderately built, ~3 inch lift, 33"s, some lockers and bumpers, to be used as a weekend warrior and camping rig. But I cant make up my mind if I want it to be a ZJ or WJ. I think both look great when built.

So lets see all the built ZJs and WJs, of any size

if you have the funds, do a wj.

here are some quick pics of mine. more in my photobucket and build thread. i'm running 31s now, but could clear 33s all day. a 3" lift with the iceland flares and 33s is just about perfect. nice low cog for nice street mannesr and still grippy offroad. the 96-04 v8 grands have a d44a (not d44 like a rubicon. completely different) which is a nice upgrade over the d35. also, they all have 3.73 gears which give you a little more oomph if you dont want to regear right away.

i must say, my ZJ has treated me well and taken most of the abuse i have dish out to it rather well over the last almost 5 years.

pics of mine would be pointless though, other than proving the abuse a ZJ can take without giving up completely.

I would do another ZJ If I had the money. I like my 4.0 but I want a 5.9.

Thanks. I am going to build a custom one come winter that takes the place of the stock rails so it looks factory.
