Not mine but I saw it on a car hauler...or some sort of hauler here in Austria. Tires are from USSR. Hadn't seen that before. Any idea what axle that is?

That axle is out of a MAN truck, in fact the whole frame and springs are from a MAN truck. There Dutch semi trucks.

That's cool. There's a MAN factory just 10 minutes away from here.

Yeah, those cheap Chinese knock offs of Cummins diesels aren't that great.

Oops. I forgot to add..It's a PJ 518 trailer that I ended up buying from it's original owner, and in great shape.
18', dovetail, side storing ramps. Came with a winch.
I need to get some rear axle straps. I do not like how the back end sucks down and the springs compress when I tightened the chain on the rear recovery points. But, my Rubi 44 rear axle has brake lines running across it that I don't want to pinch. Any suggestions?

You only need to worry about the hard brakelines on the front or top side of the axle.

Most axle straps will slide between the axle and the hard lines near each side of the center housing.

Alternatively, you can run axle straps outside the upper control arm brackets on the rear axle.

I like to cross the straps on the axles. Seems to work very well.

Heres a quick picture
