2006 LJ on an 18' Temco (16' deck, 2' dove), towed behind a 2000 F-250 longbed supercab with a massively hot-rodded 7.3. Tows like a dream.

I average 16-17 with the Dmax while towing my TJ.

2004 Chevy 2500HD w/LB7 Duramax. Trailer is a 2010 7,000lb 16' Gator made Car hauler w/ electric brakes. This combination seems to tow well, no complaints.

Couldn't find any pics with it strapped down but I have a set of Mac's tie-downs with axle straps for all 4 corners. These are old pics from when I had just brought the trailer home and was test fitting the jeep.

I think most people are optimistic or they believe their onboard computers when it comes to MPG when towing with a diesel. My '01 Dodge 4x4 (Cummins) has had a worst of 11 mpg and a best of nearly 17. But typically towing my Jeep through the hill country of central Texas I see about 12-14. It also depends very much on how fast I tow. My '99 gas Suburban 4x4 (Vortec 350) would get 9 mpg when towing over the same terrain.

The increased mileage when towing with a diesel is great, but the best part of towing with a diesel is the effortless pulls up the hills w/o constant downshifts and subsequent wear/tear.
