Ive got 305/75/16 mtz's on my no lift 2000 sahara. Trimed the flairs up like the bushwacker flats, and have been off road. Only rubbing was in the plastic liner in the right rear wheel well. This was on a washed out rocky logging road.
I wanted to do lift first but tires were used and a good deal. Also I cant make up my mind on what lift I want to go with.
I have 285/75/16's (33's) on my factory rubi moabs on my 06' and no rub even at full lock. 2.5'' OME lift, currie front upper and lower CA's, JKS front track bar and JKS quick disconnects. No wheel spacers or body lift
would it be safe for me to run 33's on a two inch lift?
No matter what, if you change your suspension height and tire size you need to check your bump stops to make sure your not going to bottom shocks out or put a tire threw a fender before the bump stops stop the axle.
The best way to do that is to remove the springs and set the jeep on the bump stops, if something makes contact before your at full bump, stop, and add more bump stop.
I have 33 inch tall tires on my tj with no lift, the only problem was i had to purchase wider fender flares to cover the tires. I put 2 inch wheel spacers on and it looks great. I don`t rock crawl but i do go off road when going fishing or down the beach. I installed 410 gears in the rear dana 44 and 411 gears up front, the jeep developed a steering wheel wobble when a bump was hit, all I did was adjust the gear box and that took care of the wobble.
