Not much of a wheeling pic, but one of my favorites for sentimental reasons. Right after I bought it, I stopped at home to pull the roof and doors off, left 'em laying in the driveway, and drove it straight to the beach!

Original owner never hauled anyone around in the back seat, so he modified the cage to give it more of the classic Jeep look. It was a purpose built mallcrawler when I bought it. I've got the regular TJ hoops that can bolt back in in about an hour if I ever put the back seat back in. I like the slanted bars though, and the modification was done well enough that I have no safety concerns, so they stay.

EDIT: to clarify on when I said "well enough to have no safety concerns"... Although the modified cage was done for looks, it was done by a reputable shop that builds cages for everything from Jeeps to dirt track cars, so it was done right.

It looks good, doesn't even look out of place. I was just curious - at first I thought it was an early YJ because of the bar.

When I've been asked around town, I've told people it was a YJ and I just replaced the whole front end and added coil springs. Usually leaves a confused look on their faces until they realize it's just a modified sport cage.

I'm doing the opposite this summer - I'm putting a TJ body on the YJ and stretching it to an LJ length at the same time.... it'll be a LJ on leaves basically.
