TjWindshield Mounted KC Daylighters (or Hella 550s) from Driver View

Can someone post pics taken from the drivers seat of the left and right windshield mounted KC Daylighters. I'd like to see how visible they are (the light housing, not the light beam) from the drivers seat on a TJ. I'd rather not pay for the SlimLite series, but I also don't want a bigger blind spot. I'd probably get these brackets from 4wd.com, since they come in various colors (appear to be KC brand). I'm looking at the lights with the black housing, but any pics should do.

I dont have a picture for ya but i recently put in some hella's here and they are rather noticable, but the real problem is at night when theyre on some light comes out the sides of the lens and its like having the map light on in that car
other than that, i like having them in this location, cheaper than full light bar

Wow, that is a little more visible than I had thought. I was hoping the light would be behind the windshield frame.

This is why I mounted mine on a lightbar. Especially if it's a DD.

Mine's a DD too and although it looks like they create a huge blind spot they honestly do not obstruct your view too much. Around certain turns you have to look out your windshield at a different angle, but it only took me about three days to get used to driving with them, now I don't even notice they're there. And IMHO I think they're better looking than a lightbar, and they are in a good position for light distribution as well.

^^^ ditto. they may be in the way a bit, but they don't create a blindspot. it's not like holding your thumb up to the moon and making it disappear. if there is a car on the other side of the light, you're still going to see it. i've never found myself having to look around either side of them to see.

I have them as well and I don't even notice they are there unless they are on. You will not notice them once you install them.

Thanks for the pictures. I think the driver side one would be covered up by state inspection and registration stickers. Passenger side housing seems smaller than in the first pic posted.

Wait, are hilites the same as the slim light series? Now I'm confused.

I know they are the brand, I was just a little confused as I asked for Daylighters and TheDiabetic posted pics, but then said "well i didnt read it very well, haha, i have the kc hilites. sorry for the confusion". I wanted Daylighters posted and that is what I thought he did, so then I was confused and basically asked if those were really Slimlights.
