Previous owner? You never know when those cold air intakes will crater! I don't have one on my TJ, but I have a Banks on my Duramax. I wash and oil every 5000 miles here on the farm

Nope. I installed it myself only year and a half ago. I found the damage today during my third cleaning. Who knows how long I've been sucking unfiltered air into the motor. I had a Banks intake on the Jeep prior, to this, and liked it but I needed something higher up for river crossings so I switched to this. I had to temporarily repair it with RTV and a stocking until I can get my hands on a replacement. On a side note, the damn things been discontinued. :-/image-1553131254.jpg

Update: luckily the filter alone is available on Ebay. For nearly half the price of the entire intake. Ugh!
