What jeep is this

A buddy of mine picked this jeep up and wants to sell it to me. He said the guy told him it was a 1949. For some reason the grill looks funny to me not being flat across. Am I looking to hard into it or is this not the right grill for this jeep. I did a google search and it seems like it is a willys wagon grill. Is there a easy way to confirm this is the right frame as well? Please help me out, thanks in advance.

Looks like a early j truck/willy's pick up grill on a 2a. Those headlights are freaking huge.

It looks like the same era of Willys truck grill on that 2a

Any more ideas? How hard would this be to convert back to a 2A grill?
