31s with only a 2" BB will rub when you full flex with disconnects. i would install anadditionl 1" BL.

you dont have your bump stops propperly adjusted.

a 2" BB usually clears 32's

i have a 2" skyjacker BB that came with 1" bumpstop extensions and a 2" BL. and the tires stil rub when disco΄d (they are full covered by the fender flares, they don΄t rub at the end of the fender flares).

that΄s why i think that 31s with only 2" BB will also rub.

here΄s a pic of my jeep with the BB, BL and 32s:

2" BB and 31s - no rub

2" BB + 1" BL and 31s

Backspacing makes a big difference though...

31's and a 2'' bb didnt rub on my jeep at full stuff close but it didnt.

Right now I run 33X10.50-15 Boggers on 15X8 wheels with 3.75'' of bs a 2'' REBB and 1.25'' JKS BL and the tires just tag the outside of the flare in the front (part that hangs down) With a wider flare the tires wouldnt rub at all. (because it would move that lip out farther.

Dont think I have a pic of the heep with the 2'' BB and 1.25'' BL but heres a couple with just the 2'' REBB and 31X10.50's on the stock 15X7 wheels

2'' REBB and 1.25'' JKSBL with 33X10.50-15 Boggers

Same lift with 35X12.50R15 MT's on 15X10 wheels with 4'' BS

Dogman,

Do the 31's run OK with the 3.07? Did they hurt the power much?

They are livable. I don't use 5th gear really. I wouldn't go any bigger, that's for sure.

I can't wait to regear when I go to 33s. It's going to be a while, I've got to wear out my 31s.

If you go with a 1.75 - 2.25" BB get some 2" bumpstops.

They will do 3 things...

1. Keep your springs from over compressing.

2. Not let your shocks become bumpstops.

3. Keep those 31's off of your flares.

I have 1" Currie BL with 1.75" BB in front, and 1 3/8" in rear..
