Trimmed/Cut Fenders, Any Jeep!!! Start with Mine.

Title says it, trimmed/cut fenders on any Jeep. We'll start with mine. 1992 YJ on shackles and 31's.

I think most people who refer to cut or chopped fenders mean the actual metal, not just the plastic flares.

That being said, I think yours look a little better as they are now.

Yeah, I kept looking and asking myself, what changed? Then I read CJ7 guy's post and looked again, and suddenly I could see!
Anyways, here's mine if someone would be so kind as to click free it
Stock:

3" boost (front) 1.5" boost (rear) and 30s:

4.5" lift (front) 1.5" boost (rear) and 30s, cut fenders:

The rears are trimmed... I even cut them to allow the door to open, like with Bushwhackers. Then went and screwed it up by stickin em back on with self tapping screws straight through the flares...

Im planning on trimming my fender flares on my YJ almost exactly how youve done it here,

what did you use to cut them? and to make the edge nice and smooth?

I just used a razor blade knife.
I took each tire off at a time, got up underneath the wheel wells and there is that ridge right there, I just cut right under the ridge. It only takes 3 cuts untill it goes through the fender. I have not smoothed mine out yet, It looks really good with the just the razor blade. But I'm going to take a file to it to smooth it all out. It only took me an hour to and hour an 20 min.to be completally finished.
