I have the Kargomaster, and love it.

I carried 300-350 lbs over 1000 miles to NC and back with it. Going 55-70 mph on the interstate, it never creaked or squeaked the whole way. Wind noise is alright, I mean it is a jeep with a soft top to start out with. I actually think it is quieter when its full, and not empty.

Go for it, after the first trip with it loaded up, and all that free interior space, you'll love it.

Can you post up closer pictures of the rear mount? I just got a Surco rack off of Craigs list and need to mount it. I already have the Tomb Raider light bar that I'll use for the front, I just need to do something in the back.

You made me wanna do this to my 98 TJ... just one question... How did you mount it with the screws? How did you seal the holes that you drilled?

They allow you to unbolt the front of the rack from the mounts on the windshield and tilt the rack back a bit so you can put down your top. I've never done it - seems like too much trouble - but they say it can be done.

I'd post pics of mine, but it's the same rack but a different looking Jeep. As for the comment about the rearward lean...it leans all the way back to the ground if needed. A one person job. Two bolts, one for each front mount. Undo the bolts, then stand on the ear bumper and "walk" the rack back. Reverse process to put rack back on. Excellent rack that I couldn't recommend enough. Strong, durable, worth every penny. And yes, in case you're wondering, the rear brackets do fit perfectly under the ORO LiteDots as well as the stock rear lights.

What the heck...I was in my photobucket anyways.

Rear bracket (a bit dinged and rusted bolt) that fits well underneath the ORO LiteDots

Do any of you guys with the Kargomaster rack happen to have a picture of the passenger side rear mount? I am curious if it would work with a Bestop oversize tire carrier.
