I was bending mine when flexing the front axle out. They were getting discolored creases that were not going away and looked bad. This keeps the tires from completely covering the Jeep in road crap and offers the little bit more room in the wheel wells that I wanted/needed.

Have any of you considered having your flares sprayed with bed liner instead of painting them? Much more rugged.

If I am not mistaken, that member is no longer on this forum for other reasons.

And it is a Jeep, not a truck!

And, since the pic with the measurements was mine...



Here is what it looks like...



Note that I only did the front flares, with the LJ's rake it wasn't necessary to do the back ones as well.

It is a very easy mod to do, and adds 1.5" of "lift" in that the tires do not rub the flare when flexing.
