My flares are cut 1", but when flexing the hit points in the front are the rear of the fenderwell/firewall area, and the flange where the flare meets the fender.

At the rear, it's the lower corners of the tub (inner fenderwheel) both front & rear.

I could bumpstop those hit points out, but I'm just going to MetalCloak it, remover the bumpstops that I have, and let it flex.

(This is with 4" Currie lift, 1" BL, and 35" MTR's)

I had a buddy tastefully cut about 3/4" out of mine - I recently went to highlines though. 2.5" RC lift, 35" MTR's. Bumpstoped, front axle forward but cant remember the amount, rear axle moved back about 3/4" IIRC.

I trimmed my flares a few weeks ago. I measured out 3 inches from the side that touches the fenders and used blue tape to create a line, which I would cut with a dremel with a cut off disc. Used a razor to cut the excess plastic goo that melted where I cut.

Wear eye protection when cutting. The plastic that slings off can mess you up.

Then took 320 grit and scuffed the surface of fenders. My RME had the painted metallic gray fenders. I only took off the shine of the paint. I worked at an automotive paint and supply store and bought OneChoice black trim paint by PPG. One can was enough for all flares.

I then went to a local tint/wrap/ store and 20 feet of black door edge guard. The stuff I bought has adhesive in the crevice.

2.25" bb and 31's. I'm going to paint them matte black and put black trim on the edges.

I went a little crazy. Berliner the flares and rocker panels, kryloned the bezels, bumpers, wipers, license plate holder, antenna, and window accents. Also put some door trim on the flares. Getting it ready for 33's!
