The black ones are still on back order. I pre ordered a set back in Dec, and they still have not been released from M/T yet.

I have a friend that has the chrome classic lock and he says they are a big pain to clean because dirt and sand get stuck in the fake bead lock... just something to think about.

Polished aluminum, but yeah, it's a PITA.

My solution is to not clean them lol. My classic locks needed a slight polishing when I bought them. Now it would probably take me a whole day to get them to shine again. Not to mention the fake lock rings are all but destroyed.

Thanks, but I believe those are pro comp street locks, which are similar but not exactly the same.

Here's my 02 with Ion 15x10 aluminum painted with bed liner. I took off the simulated bead locks to save weight as I haven't re geared it.

Nice Jeep man! IMO though, I doubt the weight of those sim lock rings are having ANY effect on the overall weight/performance of the Jeep. Now I have Mickey Thompsons Classic locks & those rings are thin, bendable by hand, aluminum. Not sure of the Ions sim locks though...but they can't be that heavy.

Yeah the rings are very light. When I got the jeep the rings were all dinged up so I just decided to no use them after I sprayed the wheels. Sofar the paint is holding up well
