Storage ideas for TJ

I'm wondering what everyone here has done with the rear of their TJ as far as storage ideas. I've been toying with building a box of sorts that would fit in between the wheel wells. I have a 10" sub in the rear so I would have to get a bit creative but post up what you've got! my goal is to box out the rear and run a rack above it and strap my spare on that rack so I can remove the rear tire carrier and save departure angle.

Thanks

I pulled my rear seat a long long time ago. I installed the bestop storage trunk with slidable lid for security. Later I added a Bestop storage rack above it which mounts to the row bar. I first tried it mounted to my rear door and over my spare but I couldn't raise or lower my top.

I would love to see pics of your setup, I am contemplating doing the same thing.

I also removed my rear seat last summer and installed the Bestop rack in back. When my hardtop is on my dachshunds ride on it.

My review of the rack:

Where did u get that set up? It looks great! So the soft top goes up and down with the way you have it now?

^quadratec.com sells the rack. I don't have a soft top, however the rack doesn't go all the way to the back so there is plenty of room for a soft top to go up and down behind it.

i built this for my TJ

here was the build of it, i had orginally thought of building a sub into it, but 86'd that idea once i realized how much space i'd lose for the drawers.

Then i raptor lined it and bolted her down.

Sorry for the late response, but do you have the dimensions for your cargo drawer? That looks really clean... Thanks!

Bolted down by running a bolt through rear seat bracket
each side then bolted down using the seat belt hole in tub.
Used the stock spare tire bracket and bolted to box then
mounted spare on it. Cornered the box to mount C)2 tank.
